Ferrari Theme Park in Abu Dhabi is set to open this week with the world’s fastest rollercoaster, which reaches 149mph (240 km/h). It is the first Ferrari Theme Park and the largest attraction of its kind.
Quoted in their official Website, Ferrari World Theme Park will open to the public today at 7:00 P.M., allowing guests to experience a wide selection of rides and attraction.
“We are excited to open our doors to the public earlier than previously anticipated, on Wednesday 27th October 2010 and we look forward to welcoming many guests to mark this historic day,” said Claus Frimand, General Manager, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
“This will be the beginning of an exciting Inaugural Period, with the start of operations at the world’s first Ferrari theme park.” Mr. Frimand said.
According to Claus Frimand, the Inaugural Period will continue throughout November, leading up to a Grand Opening in December with the official launch of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
Ferrari Theme Park featured attractions are the following:
• Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest rollercoaster, reaching speeds of up to 240 km/h, emulating the feeling of being in a Ferrari F1 car
• G-force experience taking passengers on an adrenaline-pumping ride up over 62m, through the roof and back down again
• State-of-the-art racing simulators as those used by the Ferrari racing team
• Flume ride journey through the heart of a Ferrari 599 engine
• Driving and Racing school for junior drivers, with expert training
• Aerial voyage over Italy following a Ferrari
According to their official Website, Ferrari Theme Park is not just a park but a unforgetable experience that will spark the Ferrari spirit inside you.
Ticket prices range from AED 165 to AED 225 for general admission depending on your height. Premium admission requires higher bill which ranges from AED 270 to AED 375. Premium admission would give guests the priority to experience all attractions and access other benefits. Ferrari World Theme park will be open on a six-day a week schedule from Tuesday to Sunday, welcoming visitors from 12 noon each day.
